Bicycles, appliances, lawn furniture, desks, fences, bed springs, metal toys, metal shelving, wire, etc...
Other acceptable items include: Oil tanks or gas tanks, if cut in half and free of contents, mufflers and tailpipes, wire cable and metal strapping in clean steel drums, 55 gallon drums if tops are off and free of all fluid residue.
If you have a large appliance please telephone the Transfer Station prior to transport to ensure we have room to take it (603) 632-5208. There is a fee to recycle appliances containing hazardous materials. Freon containing appliances like refrigerators, freezers & air conditioners are $20 to recycle and microwave ovens are $10.
Unacceptable items include: sealed containers of any kind, auto air bag canisters, tires (see Disposal of Special Materials), wood, paper, plastic, dirt, garbage, glass, parts and appliances from which oil flows or drips, machinery or engines containing oil of any kind, hydraulic hoses, wet or dry transformers, capacitors, or ballasts, and metal borings, turnings or shavings.
Computer Components, Electronics, & Televisions
No special preparation. Ask attendant about proper placement of these items at the Transfer Station & Recycling Center.
