Wanted: Part Time Town Recording Secretary / Minutes Taker

The Town of Enfield’s Land Use Boards (including the Planning Board, the Zoning Board of Adjustment and the Master Planning Task Force) are seeking a qualified individual to take minutes for between 3 and 5 evening meetings a month. Pay rate is $18/hour, averaging $200-$400/ month, depending on the schedule of meetings. You’ll work directly with Enfield’s Land Use Administrator to keep these important meeting records up to date, accurate and highly available.

A successful candidate should expect to attend all meetings in person (at the DPW facility, 74 Lockehaven Road) to get the minutes of a meeting started or outlined, including the members, applicants & guests present, plus all motions and relevant vote counts. Afterwards, a meeting recording will be made available to help fill in all of the meeting details. Minutes need not be a transcription of what was said word for word, rather a description of what transpired during the meeting. For a sample of what our typical minutes look like, visit the Town’s website at: https://www.enfield.nh.us/sites/g/files/vyhlif3106/f/minutes/zba12-08-2020d.pdf  This is a great part time/ side job for someone who is detail oriented and can make fast use of their own computer. The final deliverable for meeting minutes is a Word document in “Draft” form for the respective board or committee to approve with their own corrections and/or changes.

To apply, send an email with interest and a description of relevant experience or resume to Rob Taylor, Enfield’s Land Use Administrator at planning@enfield.nh.us Call 603-442-5427 with any questions or for more information. The Town of Enfield is an equal opportunity employer.
