Prevention of COVID-19 During Upcoming Municipal Election

Virus

Voting day is tomorrow and we would like to take time to address concerns people may have. Our Emergency Management Department is working closely with the Upper Valley Public Health Network.

The Town of Enfield is taking the following precautionary measures to help protect against the possible spread of COVID-19 at polling locations during the March 10, 2020 Municipal election.

• Disinfectant wipes are being made available to voters at the polling location.
• Hand sanitizer in a pump or spray dispenser will also be available for use by voters.
• Our election officials will be following CDC guidelines for election workers at polling locations.

In accordance with CDC guidelines on Preventing COVID-19 Spread in Communities, we ask that the public refrain from entering public areas or attending public events if they:

• Are ill or experiencing flu-like symptoms (i.e. cough, fever, shortness of breath, etc.);
• Have been in close proximity to anyone who is ill;
• Have been to an infected area in the past 2 weeks.
