3rd Party Ambulance Billing Company Data Breach

Recently the City of Lebanon was notified by their ambulance billing company of a data security event to their computer network.  (See City of Lebanon news item here:  https://lebanonnh.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2003)

The Town of Enfield used COMSTAR, the ambulance billing service in question, until 2019 at which time we switched to another firm for our 3rd party ambulance billing service.  The Town of Enfield did not receive a notice from COMSTAR, however, since the City of Lebanon provides ambulance services in Enfield there is the possibility that this breach may affect Enfield residents.  If you have been affected, you will or may have already received a letter from COMSTAR via their law firm with a Portland, Oregon return address.  This is NOT A SCAM.  Please follow the guidance provided in the letter if you have questions and to access the credit monitoring tools provided by COMSTAR.
