PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Please Minimize Visits to the Enfield Transfer Station

The Enfield Transfer Station is seeing an increase in the number of customers per day, many of them bringing in only ONE bag of trash and nothing else.

To prevent the community spread of Covid-19, the Town of Enfield is encouraging residents/customers to reduce their frequency of visits to Enfield Transfer Station.  This can be accomplished by:

  1. Fully utilize curbside services
  2. Store items such as yard waste, Freon units, furniture, tires, electronics
  3. Delay clean out projects
  4. Do not come to the Transfer Station with one or two bags of trash only

We understand that many homeowners are using this time to clean out the basement, garage, barn, etc. However, now is not the time for cleanout projects and the disposal of associated rubbish/waste.  Also, it should be noted that most “for fee” recycling items do not pose a health hazard if stored properly.

Until further notice the Transfer Station staff will not be hand punching fee punch cards.  Residents need to bring their own pen to check the fees off the punch cards or to write checks.

Town staff continues to abide by CDC guidelines including maintaining a minimum of six (6) feet of separation at the Transfer Station, posting signs, reducing and – to the fullest extent possible - eliminating human contact, and reminding residents of safe practices.

We appreciate your assistance in this matter. The Enfield Town staff is here to assist with the COVID-19 pandemic in any we can. For more information about how the Town is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, please visit https://www.enfield.nh.us/covid-19-your-town-government

Very respectfully
