Library Services Update

To our wonderful community:

Through my library listservs, I have watched librarians around the country struggle with the decision to close. At a time when our services are most needed, the idea of shutting our doors goes against everything we believe in. On the flip side, serving our patrons is our highest priority and encouraging people of all ages to gather goes against all the information we are receiving right now about keeping people healthy.

So here is what we CAN do:
-we have put together a list of resources for parents full of activities and we will be posting that soon.

-currently, we are glad to take your phone calls and emails requesting items. We will then set up a time convenient to you for pickup and we will leave the items in a bag on the front porch with your name on it. Since there is some concern about the coronavirus being stable on surfaces, we are disinfecting everything that has been returned to the book drop and we will not loan any item that was recently returned for at least 3 days.
Our online catalog can be found here: https://www.enfield.nh.us/enfield-public-library (fourth item from the top in the menu on the left).

Other important information:
-the State Library has halted the interlibrary loan service, so we are unable to request items we don’t own. That means there is also no rush to return items from other libraries that are already checked out.
-the State Library is also updating their website with a list of useful COVID-19 resources and information pages: https://www.nh.gov/nhsl/

Stay healthy!
