Carbon Cash-Back Warrant Article Info Night (Article 23)

Monday, March 9 at 6PM
Enfield Community Building (upstairs)
with State Representative Lee Oxenham

If voters vote yes on Article 23, Enfield will be joining a spreading movement of towns in New Hampshire and the US who want to send a message to the State and Federal Government that climate action is important and urgent. The carbon cash-back program charges fuel companies an annual fee on the carbon pollution and then rebates the money to every adult New Hampshire resident in equal shares. The overall effect of this program is to level the field for renewable energy options and create an incentive for fuel companies to invest in them.

Voting yes on Article 23 will instruct the Enfield Selectboard to send a letter to our State legislators and the Federal administration stating that Enfield is supportive of these measures to help reduce fossil fuel usage.

Please join us for an informative night with the champion of this legislation at the State level, House Representative Lee Oxenham. Light refreshments will be served.
