Board of Selectmen Meeting

The Board of Selectmen will hold this special meeting to discuss the establishment of either voluntary water restrictions or mandatory water restrictions (in accordance with RSA 41:11-d) for all Enfield Municipal Water System customers.  Voluntary water restrictions, if adopted, will be effective immediately.  Mandatory water restrictions, if established, will be effective September 10, 2020.

Water restrictions would be on:

• Watering lawns, gardens, landscaped areas, trees, shrubs and ornamental plants (the watering of vegetables by container is permitted). 
• Washing paved surfaces, such as streets, sidewalks, driveways, garages, parking areas, tennis courts and patios. 
• Operating water fountains, artificial waterfalls and reflecting pools. 
• Washing vehicles. 
• Filling and topping off swimming pools or running a sprinkler for children. 

If established and so approved  by the Board of Selectmen, mandatory water restrictions, if violated, will result in a written notice for failure to comply for a first offense, with subsequent offenses resulting in disconnection of water service as well as fees.
