Mission Statement:

Our office endeavors to provide excellent customer service with courtesy and civility; provide town services in an effective, efficient manner; to undertake a long-term view of problem solving, provide community sustainability; and is adaptable to changing town needs while preserving and being respectful of our residents' sense of community.

Duties:

The Town Manager is appointed by the Board of Selectmen and serves as the Chief Executive and Administrative Officer for the Town. Duties include overseeing the day-to-day operations of most municipal departments, development of the annual operating budget and capital plan (in collaboration with the Budget Committee and Capital Improvement Program Committee), serving as the Town’s chief procurement officer and personnel manager, acting as the Town's liaison with a wide range of regional and statewide organizations, and working closely with the Board of Selectmen on policy development and long-range planning.
